Funding of Legal Fees

We undertake privately funded work only and do not provide legal aid services.

In some circumstances, part or all of your legal fees may be covered by an insurance policy (for example, where you have legal expenses insurance). We recommend checking your policy or contacting your insurer to confirm whether cover is available.

 

Our Fees

Hourly Rates

Our fees are based on the complexity and nature of your matter. At the outset, we will provide you with our best estimate of likely costs.

Please note that any estimate provided is a guide only and does not constitute a fixed quotation unless expressly confirmed in writing.

Our current hourly rates (exclusive of VAT) are:

  • Principal Solicitor / Senior Solicitor: £300.00
  • Solicitor: £185.00
  • Trainee Solicitor: £129.00
  • Paralegal: £129.00

Your applicable hourly rate will always be agreed and confirmed with you in writing before we commence work.
All fees are subject to VAT at the applicable rate.

 

Fixed Fees

For certain types of work, we may offer a fixed fee arrangement.
Any fixed fee will be discussed and agreed with you in advance, so you have certainty on costs.

 

Additional Costs

In addition to our legal fees, there may be third-party costs associated with your matter:

  • Expenses: Costs we incur on your behalf to progress your matter (these are subject to VAT).
  • Disbursements: Costs payable directly to third parties. Some disbursements may include VAT, while others may not.

We will always ensure that VAT is applied correctly in accordance with current regulations and will inform you of any such costs in advance where possible.
